Dixie Chicks and other random offerings

Kudos to Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks for taking back her apology concerning her remarks about George W. Bush. The man really does not deserve any respect.
Also, thanks to Marilyn Vos Savant for echoing my opinion for many, many years that there is no difference between Dems and Reps. All one needs to do is look up their voting records. ( Does anyone remember that Reagan was a life-long Dem before California?)
Believe me, I used to chair a third party in Tarrant County and the first thing I learned was that those two major parties will snuggle to the death when another throws their hat into the ring.
On a lighter note, last night’s basketball game between the Spurs and the Mavericks was nothing short of phenomenal. I really am not much of a sports guy, but hey, I grew up in Fort Worth, which pretty much borders Dallas, so it’s hard not to be a little enthusiastic.
Pro athletes may be spoiled and overpaid, but at least nothing politically or religiously or worldly-threatening happens in a big game. Hooray for the Mavs!
Will have to watch some of the next series while in Mexico. Oh, Mexico.
Hopefully, we will be able to catch a bullfight or two. Not a sport, yet a brilliant art. Bliss.
Just thinking out loud.

dems, repubs, libs, conservos... they might be different kinds of turds, but they most def ALWAYS drop from the same stanky a-hole.

bullfights, huh? neat. always found them interesting. i'm a born-again vegetarian (born again just w/ the veg NOT w/ christ - although he's cool in my book too) and an animal nut (but practical as in "i love 'em" - not militant or pushy,) but for whatever crazy-ass reason, i've no opposition to this art form like i do to the truly brutal animal games in my town (cockfighting and dogfighting - disgusting.)

maybe cause i view the matador vs. the bull as an even match, dunno... you're right though, there is truly an art form to it so maybe that's why it's ok by me. anyone can throw 2 dogs or 2 birds into a ring, but the bullfight (from what little i know if it) seems to take a significant amount of skill, patience, and style - the hallmarks of all great art.

hope you have some good adventures down in old meh-hee-ko. adios for now.
